Nearly Over!

May, that is! It's my favourite month of the year and I always feel sad when it's gone.
This month has been particularly busy, what with one thing or the other, so I'd better post the details of the other two cards that I made with the May Special Offer Combo.
If you're interested in buying anything from the offer, get your skates on, as I need to order by tomorrow lunch time!

This card was made for a colour challenge on the In Love With Stamping website. See all the entries by clicking here.

It's a long landscape layout with the front edge folded back after scoring about 3/4 of the way along. I rolled the pattern using the Spot On wheel after inking it well on an Apricot Appeal ink pad. I added images from the Seeing Spots set in the other two colours of the challenge, Brocade Blue and Only Orange. I was a bit scared of using such a bright colour, so opted to use only a very small amount!

The turned back panel was stuck down and then decorated with the Brocade Blue ribbon.

For the embellishment, I stamped and punched out the flower image, layered it onto a slightly larger circle of Only Orange and then used a brad to secure the two together. This was then stuck to a scallop circle using dimensionals on the right hand side only. After a bit of repositioning, I was able to find the right spot to stick it down, so that the front edge of the card tucked behind it.

It was simpler to make than it looks and I really enjoyed it!
