Pretty Posies

These two cards are the same - but different! The cool toned pink one is on Whisper White card stock, the warm toned orange one is on Very Vanilla.
The card bases are the cute Love Notes, as seen on page 78 of the catalogue.

The flowers were stamped using a VersaMark ink pad and the images remain invisible until you start dabbing on pastel pigment. Just dab, dab, dab with the applicator and the image will gradually ‘pop’ out at you. That’s the magic of Poppin’ Pastels!
Once the image is totally covered in pigment, you can then use a gentle swirling action to tint the background.
The flowers that are raised up were shaded using the swirling technique in slightly darker tones, to give them definition.
Inside, I used a verse stamp from the Curvy Verses set on page 61 of the catalogue that reads:

Two simple words
that come with so much
gratitude…thank you

Finally, I always try to decorate the envelope a little, as it gives the recipient a taste of what's inside!

Stamps: Pretty Posies, Canvas & Curvy Verses
Paper: Love Notes, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Rose Red & More Mustard
Ink: Pretty In Pink & More Mustard
Accessories: VersaMark Ink Pad, Stampin’ Pastels in Pretty In Pink, Rose Red, Apricot Appeal & Pumpkin Pie & Stampin’ Dimensionals

If you look at the orange card you’ll see that the Canvas background, the matting layer and the chalked edge are all in More Mustard and they work together beautifully.
This is one of the special qualities of the Stampin’ Up! range of products!

There are four colour families, Bold Brights, Earth Elements, Rich Regals and Soft Subtles, along with Neutrals and Naturals. For each of these colour families there are ink pads, refills, markers, A4 card stock, 12” x 12” card stock, patterned papers, watercolour crayons, pastels, brads, eyelets, rhinestone brads, ribbons and buttons. Phew, what a mouthful!

The flower stamps that I used are from the Pretty Posies set, which is a Level 1 Hostess Set and can be seen on page 17 of the catalogue.
So, if you host a party and gain sales of £150 - £199.99, not only can you choose one of the 5 Level 1 Hostess Gifts - you can also choose £15 worth of merchandise as well - both for free! Plus, a free catalogue just for being a hostess!
Now, doesn’t that sound good?
Not only that, you get to have fun with your friends and family whilst making cards and other projects in the comfort of your own home or club.

These two cards are destined for the ladies who have each booked a workshop with me this past week.

Why not e-mail me at

Thanks for looking!

You're welcome!
Did you get the star as well? It gives an idea of the scale of the pattern on the papers.
